RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To utilize Work Sample Boards, Electronic Print Room, Workmanship Standards, Inter and Intra dept. procedures, Electronic Work Orders, and dispatch

  • Set up, operate, maintain and perform minor troubleshooting on injection molding machines and support equipment such as sprue pickers, mold temperature controllers, conveyors, plastic resin drying and handling systems, mold dies, computers, etc.

  • Perform molding process adjustment and troubleshooting to insure products produced are visually and dimensionally acceptable.

  • Compete certification in Routsis plastic injection molding program annually and complete any other training required.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • The machine operator runs and maintains the mold machine production. Workers load/unload dies into machines by pushing/pulling the dies on an automated lift device. 55 lbs bags of product are lifted and loaded into the bins, Workers climb portable staircases to gather the product and other items. Several machines are monitored at one time; workers set up the machine using a control panel and other switches/buttons, product is monitored as is fills cases on the floor and the case is dumped as it fills.

  • The operator changes the presses 1 to 1.5 hours per shift, sorts and assembles parts 5.5 to 6.5 hours per shift.

Also includes material handling, receiving parts, picking parts, handling shortages, completing proper documentation, safety, ISO and ESD coordination, ensuring quality processes and calibrating tools.

Functional:

  • Perform hand soldering; become certified in leaded and no-lead soldering

  • Work from drawings, bills of material, object list and utilize small hand tools or lead forming machines to cut, bend or attach parts for assembly

  • Operate machines to include electro presses and various pre-adjusted lead forming machines

  • Conduct functional in-circuit test for departmental auditing

  • Conduct safety, housekeeping inspections

  • Receive, consolidate and put parts away. Perform data entry, pick job parts, process returned parts and non-conforming material

  • May perform other duties as assigned.
